New Massachusetts Home Inspector licensing law.

The Massachusetts home inspector licensing law will take effect on May 1, 2001. Up to this date there has been no regulation of home inspectors in the State of Massachusetts. Beginning on May 1, 2001 any one who practices the profession of home inspection in the state of Massachusetts will have to be licensed or under the direct supervision of a licensed home inspector. All inspectors will be required to carry insurance, conform to the Standard of Practice and Code of Ethics established by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Home Inspectors
